My dad was born and raised in the Philippines before WWII. He convinced Sarah, Dave and me to accompany him on his last pilgrimage to his birthplace. A tour had been organized by a group of his old classmates, some of which hadn't been back to the Phillipines in 40 or 50 years. Some had survived imprisonment during WWII, and so the trip has turned out to be as much of an education as a vacation.
