Stairway
This is part of the hospital on Corregedor Island. It had the capacity to house over a thousand patients and it certainly did. Portions had to be dedicated as a mortuary during the Japanese attacks. When asked to do so, the nurses working at the hospital refused to leave their patients. They were quite famous for keeping their morale during the bombing.
