Weaned!

You'd think that 29 months sounds a bit old to be just now weaned, but actually the natural weaning age for a human is later than age 2 1/2. It's only us Americans who are in such a rush to hurry along the process. Well, it was a good long run, but, mommy and Adam came to a mutual understanding and all has worked out well. If you look closely, the bruise on his forehead is the only reminder of our last nursing session more than a week ago, when he hit his head and needed mommy one last time. All it took was a simple statement of "all done" and that's it. He just seemed to understand. Ah, it's bittersweet.
