Camping at our First Xmas, in the dunes south of Cocklebiddy. 50 years ago! And still a favourite photo, and wife! We are now about to celebrate 50 Christmas dinners together! Done! (edited 02-01-16).... We just had Xmas 2015, with Graham and Sooz, and I forgot I had this shot to share with family, 50 years on! Just posted to FB.. I seem to have mislaid the 1965 diary in our move to the new house, but I have the full 1966 diary with each page crammed with fine writing and detail of caving in Mullamullang with Rick and Dick while still working with the GSWA over the next week. It covers the year in detail up to the wedding in December and beyond... After a great few days here at Twilight Cove over Christmas we drove to N37 and caught up with the SUSS CEGSA WASG expedition. We spent New Years day 1966 caving for three hours, then drove into the Madura Pub for a shower and beers and squashes. Had a great hour there, then Rick drove the VW back to Mullamullang, while Mary and I caught up with some lost time in the back seat! I will probably work through the 1966 diary each day for the rest of 2016… Wish I could find the 1965 diary, it is still buried in some lost box in the house from moving house! Found, see notes on other image... On the ABC Local radio .. ABC Radio are running a program on getting your life back? see Conversations 14-04-21 Hugh Morrison first to the end of the longest dive in the World. Moments in your life that were relaxing moments out of the rat race where you were " In the moment" rather than rushing and absorbed in a career or running a family, dashing to work, taking the kids to sport or filling up the car. I thought of all the 1/125th sec moments at f5.6 that I have in my photo collection I could select some of my 33,000 images for an album of "Moments in Life" then realised that 95% or so would be suitable. At least all in my "Faves by others" would be suitable, Narration - Eucla Basin Field Work 1966-68 In late December Field Hand Bill Crowle and I met up with Mary Mitten(sic) and Jacky Hos who drove out from Perth in Bill's V.W. We spent Christmas day at Twilight Cove ( I actually spent a few hours mapping) and a few days later met up with a convoy of NSW cavers and camped at Mullamullang Cave. The team was surveying this very extensive cave and set up an underground camp a few hours in to improve the time spent surveying. see late comment, DL image
