Signs Of Spring: Flowering Trees

If you have pollen allergies, this might be a miserable time for you. For the rest of us, it is so refreshing to see trees blooming. The tree in the foreground is an Alexander Magnolia, but they are also called "tulip trees" - they get their flowers before getting any of their glossy leaves. In the background a lush, white Bradford Pear. When they start to get leaves, the flowers shed their petals, and it is like a parade of flower-petal confetti down the street. Really quite lovely.
