Kastellet
Kastellet in Copenhagen, Denmark is one of the best preserved fortifications in Northern Europe, and said to be the oldest still in use, dating from the 17th Century. It is constructed in the form of a pentagram with bastions at its corners. Although some military activities are still housed in Kastellet, it is now mainly a peaceful park, popular with strollers and joggers.
