"Cleaning"

The police claimed they had to clear the square for reasons of "hygiene" which was lampooned on a lot of signs. This one showed a picture from the internet of cops holding a protestor down and grasping his nostrils with gloved fingers. Even at the information desk, people hadn't seen that other picture of police with batons raised against a guy in a wheelchair, although they said they'd heard about it. Sometimes the whole thing strikes me as not so much a revolution as a picnic with signs. The kids on one side barely know why they're here, and the cops on the other I guess feel it's some kind of revolution.
