Rock paintings at Edikal
These rock paintings are amazingly preserved considering they are 8,000 years old. They date from a period when the Sahara was grassland and the climate much wetter than today. They show men herding cattle with a dog. The man at bottom right holds a bow or stick and might be hunting.
