Rock paintings at Edikal
These rock paintings are amazingly preserved considering they are 8,000 years old. They date from a period when the Sahara was grassland and the climate much wetter than today. They show men herding cattle using a dog. The figure nearest the camera appears to be separate and is holding a club or bow, probably out hunting.
