Beluga sightings in the St Lawrence - very far away and cropped

Camp Le Paradis-Marin, La Haute-Côte-Nord, Quebéc, Canada I am sorry. I wouldn't normally waste your time with images of such low quality, my evidence pictures, but with the Flickr Friday theme being Far Away, how could I pass this up. We are camped on the north side of the Saint Lawrence in a beautiful campground with many nice folks. We all seem to be watching for whales though it is a bit early in the season. We arrived yesterday and watched some and then again this morning. It was time for me to relieve my boredom and I went hiking with my big lens (it likes to go for walks too). As I came to the end of the campground a helpful young lady told me that she had just spotted some Belugas. I told her I was headed for the first look-out along the shore and would look. Sure enough, they were back just off the shore where we had been camping! Ug. So, these are the shots I got (along with 150 others which have mostly been sent to the bit-bucket). I had a wonderful walk - a bit of an adventure - and temporarily cured my boredom, at least until I could find some evening time to sit in front of my travel laptop and work in LrC on deleting waisted bits, and documenting a few others. I will try and do better for you next time!
