His and Her office buildings: Karl Marx Allee, with socialist realism architecture (boxy buildings) former East Berlin, 2023

Karl Marx Allee was the former "Grand Boulevard" of East Berlin under communism. As much of Berlin had to be rebuilt after the war, the rebuilding took place according to different principles and the visual distinction between the areas is very striking, in this case the very boxy architecture. There remain many streets in the former DDR still named after Karl Marx, even in small towns. I did not notice any streets named for any other communist leaders.
