The Church of San Pietro sits on the rocky outcrop at the end of the village overlooking the open sea. It was built on the ancient remains of the pagan temple dedicated to the goddess Venus Ericina. The original church was ravaged by fire and war over the centuries, and was restored from 1929 to 1934.
