The Paper Dome is a temporary church building made of paper tubes, designed by Shigeru Ban, a famous Japanese architect. It was built after the Great Hanshin Earthquake in Japan and became a religious center of the survivors. After the “921 Earthquake” in Taiwan, it was moved to Puli to continue its mission. Today, the Paper Dome complex is used as a culture center, with regular art exhibitions, music concerts, and other performances held in a semi-open space that includes shops, restaurants, and leisure areas.
