One of the great White Flower Paintings by Georgia O'Keeffe

Jimson Weed / White Flower No. 1 (1932) by Georgia O’Keeffe (1887–1986). Seen in an exhibition presented by Fondation Beyeler in Riehen/Basel, from 23 Jan until 22 May 2022. “One rarely takes the time to really see a flower. I have painted it big enough so that others would see what I would see.” This early quote from 1926 has become a common thread in Georgia O’Keeffe’s art and life.
