Below the Glascarnoch Dam at Aultguish, early morning scene with rainbow
The Loch Glascarnoch Dam (aka the Aultguish Dam) was created in 1957 as part of a complex hydro-electric scheme linking several lochs. The view is taken from the Aultguish Inn and shows a section of the old single track road which formed the A837 to Ullapool until it had to be diverted to make way for the flooding of the glen. The 'new' road is to the left of picture.
