Binnshire, Gouldsboro, Maine This is a single photographic image. Each of the upper 8 “layers” has been moved down one level further than its predecessor, and likewise in an up direction for the lower “layers”. This has resulted in an image that is still understandable but in which the sky “layers” have been intermingled with the ground “layers”. Still, vertical patterns, trees, paths, etc., persist. Tree trunks become branches and leaves in a staccato sequence. Your eye is challenged to assemble the patterns in a meaningful way. I hope you enjoy the idea.
