Standard to Mammoth Flats Mar 1964

Taking Mum's/Rick's car, #CAX249, across the creek crossings to the Mammoth Flats campsite up McKeon's Creek. Dad bought this Standard 10 for Mum, but she never did get the hang of driving it! So we took it caving!!! Rick also drove it to the Tech many times at Ultimo in Sydney... Had one memorable trip to Wee jasper where we dropped the muffler, and another to Jenolan where I lost it on a sweeping right-handed turn on the gravel at the top of the 5-mile hill. Rick Forster was asleep across the back seat and he woke with a start as we backed into the inside of the curve after spinning around 270 degrees.
