The sheer north face of Heimaklettur (Home Rock), home of countless birds (try to count the white dots!) and bright green from vegetation, helped by good fertilization by the seabirds. The Westman Islands off the south coast of Iceland are home to over a million pairs of nesting puffins, or about a fifth of all puffins around the North Atlantic - and a big number of gulls, fulmars, gannets, kittiwakes, razorbills etc.
