A view to Eyjafjallajökull volcano in early evening of 11 May, farm Ormskot in Fljótshlíð in foreground, some 20 km away, looking southeast. The volcano shows little signs of quieting down, and spews up a monstrous ash plume, some 5-6 km up into the air. The glacier, normally shining white, is now pitch black from fallen ash.
