Mt. Keilir (379 m) is a hyaloclastite mountain on the Reykjanesskagi Peninsula. Despite its small size, it can be widely seen in SW-Iceland, and from some angles it forms a perfect cone (Keilir means "cone"). It was was created during sub-glacial eruptions during the last ice age, and is probably a crater plug. The view here is from nearby Mt. Trölladyngja, and shows well the moss-covered lava plateau of the Reykjanesskagi peninsula.
