Salerno Cathedral

Started in 1076 the cathedral was consecrated by Pope Gregory VII in 1084. The most striking external feature is the bell tower (mid-12th century); it is 56 m high and was constructed in Arabic-Norman style. Also the 28 antique columns of the entrance portico show the influence of Arab art. Many thanks for your visits / comments / faves!
