Tenerife lizard
The Tenerife or Gallot's lizard (Gallotia galloti) is an endemic species native to Tenerife and La Palma in the Canary islands, with four subspecies. At Mt. Teide the lizards have become rather tame. It is popular to bring bananas for the lizards, their favourite food.
