This is a digitally transformed excerpt from a much larger painting that friends of us owned. If my memory serves me correctly, it was painted by the famous local artist Jeannie Hancock (sp?). The very large original is (almost) purely abstract. However, I imagined to perceive the image of a lady in front of her elliptical toiletry mirror, and that was what I focused on and changed slightly in saturation, color, tone values and sharpness to make the (imagined?) image a bit more obvious. [The conjectured mirror with beautifying bottles is on the left, the lady sits in a wooden chair about in the middle, and there is possibly another image (chambermaid? lover?) on the right standing right behind her.] The photograph happened to slip by accident into my series of nature photographs, but it seemed to fit, so I shall leave it there for the moment.
