A-Bomb Dome & Aioi Bridge
The T-shaped Aioi Bridge (left) was the original target for the atomic bomb, but the Industrial Promotion Hall (right) took the brunt of the blast instead. The building, now known as the A-bomb Dome, has been preserved in its ruined state as a symbol of hope for world peace and nuclear disarmament.
