No. 8 College Street, Winchester
Jane Austen's last home before she died on 18 July 1817. The plaque above the door commemorates this fact, while a small handwritten sign in the window reads: "This is a private house and not open to the public." (The poor owners are undoubtedly besieged by camera-happy tourists -- but they had to see it coming when they bought the house.)
