Whim Creek WA

Our stop for a beer then on towards Onslow Whim Creek 17th May 1963 Quote from Betty's diary, typed up as they travelled, and suffered insect bites and breakdowns in the Aussie Outback, before anybody else travelled there. The Great North Highway didn't exist then! Betty said they came down the Duncan Highway!! Just speaking to Betty on Skype, she is now 86!, and she remembers the terrible corrugations. She did most of the driving, and on their arrival in Perth, Betty developed shingles and thought it must have come from the hours of corrugations they traversed! I have her 100 typed pages diary she kept, and so as soon as I get an OCR program going, will convert it to an illustrated blog. Plan to put all the images on Flickr or a Blog, with 35mm Kodachrome images See the ABC book, "Great Australian Outback Towns and Pubs" by Bill "Swampy" Marsh 2009 not mentioned though!
